She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Osborne and Elizabeth Crawley Osborne; her former husband Robert A. Phillips; and her brother Albert J. Osborne. She is survived by: her husband Leonard W. Settle; and her cousins, Patricia Fowlkes (Ronald), Sandra Gauldin and John Taylor.

Memorials may be made in Marie's memory to Pittsylvania County Pet Center.
