She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ellis Dalton Sr. and Julia Elma Rowland Dalton; her siblings, George Ellis Dalton, Jr. (Johnny), Kenneth Burton Dalton (Toby) and Julia Louise Dalton Reynolds; and her niece Patricia Reynolds Walker.
She is survived by: her husband James Curtis Bennett; her daughters, Sharon Peek (Jim) of Washington, NC, Janet Myers (Danny) of Asheboro, NC and Carol Dalton (Randy) of Gretna; her grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Peek of Greenville, NC, Allison Bennett Peek of Morehead City, NC, Daniel Craig Myers and Jeremy David Myers; and her nieces, Wanda Reynolds Long of Lynchburg and Jackie Dalton Meeks of Forest.
