He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Shelton and Lora Yeatts Shelton; his former wife Patsy Bayliss Shelton; his stepson Phil Crews; and his siblings, James Shelton, Frank Shelton, Thelma Irby, Gladys Eanes, Ruby Shelton, Calvin Shelton, Eddie Shelton and Lowell Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Milam Shelton; his children, Dr. Stuart Shelton (Penny), Debra Orrock (Bobby) and Donna Shelton; his stepdaughters, Cheryl Crews and Tammy Crews; his sister Lelia Brumfield; his grandchildren, Kelli Delia (Chad) and Graham Shelton (Ashlee Lanier); and his pet Tebow.
