He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Daniel Farmer, Sr. and Martha Virginia Shumate Farmer; his grandson Jacob Doss; and his siblings, Sammy Farmer, Jerry Famer, Geneva Vaughan, Sylvia Porter, Mozelle Bruce, Margaret Dalton, Dora Pickeral and Alice Hedrick.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cannon Farmer; his children, Teresa Doss (Philip) of Hurt, Danny Farmer of Hurt and Jeremy Farmer (Gina) of California; his grandchildren, Jody Rowland (Hannah Hunter), Lauren D. Farmer, Rachel Marie Farmer, Melissa Lee Farmer, Sarah Rae Farmer and Jade Jacoba Farmer; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Olivia, Sydney, Scarlett and Addy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Inc. (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Colbert-Moran Chapel (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557).
