We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2025, at the age of 80, Loyd Brumfield of Gretna, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Lee Brumfield and Jennie Ann Dalton Brumfield; and his brother Jerry Brumfield. He is survived by: his wife Frances Moschler Brumfield; his sons, Kenneth Brumfield (Carolyn) of Gretna and Clarence Brumfield of Gretna; his sisters, Joann Brumfield of Ringgold, Ethel Dalton of Pittsville and Linda Shelton of Pittsville; his nephews, Bobby Cline (Stormy) of Gretna and Glen Lokey (Kim) of Gretna; and his grandchildren, Jarrett Brumfield (Liz), Tonya Heath (Jonah), Cody Brumfield and Whitney Brumfield. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Colbert-Moran Chapel (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at the Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery (384 Fairmont Rd, Gretna, VA 24557).
