He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Conner and Louise C. Conner; his siblings, Ralph Conner and Patricia Yeatts; and his grandson Robbie Betterton.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Shumate Conner; his children, Tammy Betterton (Jordan), Donna Dickson (Kelley) and George Bondurant (Annalee); his son-in-law Larry Betterton; his nephews, Mike Yeatts and Chris Yeatts; and his grandchildren, Joanie, Jennifer, Malorie, Danielle, Jacob, Jordan and Grace. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
