He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Gilbert Jennings and Ruth Keesee Jennings; his daughter Jan Jennings Wampler; and his siblings, Emmett Jennings, Virginia Foster, Glenn Clingempeel and Nancy Bridges.
He is survived by: his wife Jean McDowell Jennings; his daughters, Amy Jennings Smith (Dale) of Winchester and Mary Ellen Ortiz (Frutoso) of Harrisonburg; and his grandchildren, Megan Ortiz, John Wampler, Josselyn Wampler, Jeanette Smith and Stephanie Smith.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Gretna, P.O. Box 339, Gretna, VA or to County Line Baptist Church, 13146 Chatham Road, Java, VA 24565.
