He was predeceased by: his parent Herman Virgil Hardy, Sr.; and his sister Kimberly Padgett. He is survived by: his parent Ethelyn Robertson Hardy; his wife Betty Shelton Hardy; his daughters, Wendy Hardy Reese (Billy) of Gretna and Holly Hardy Boles of Gretna; his siblings, David Lee Hardy (Alice) of Gretna, Pat Francis (Henry) of Gretna and Janice Doss of Gretna; his grandchildren, Kristin Reese Solomon (Mike) of Gretna, Jason Hardy Reese of Gretna and Aidan Ray Boles of Gretna; and his great grandchildren, Reagan Solomon and Palmer Solomon.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 1022 Commerce Street, Suite 3C, Lynchburg, VA 24504.
