It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Noel Barker of Gretna, Virginia, who passed away on May 12, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland Barker and Mattie Pearl Robertson Barker; and his siblings, Arlene Belderes, Becky Rowland, Dorothy David, Buford Barker, Onyx Barker and Owen Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Hines Barker; his sisters, Margaret Clay (Ronald) of Hurt and Ruby Shelton (Otha) of Pittsville; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Barker and Patsy Barker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Gretna Care and Share Program, P.O. Box 339, Gretna, VA 24557.
