He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nelson Pippin, Sr. and Thelma Osborne Pippin. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Pippin; his children, Sherlene Sommers (Todd), Rhonda McPherson (Shaun) of Virginia Beach, Renee Ketner (Adam) of Fredericksburg and Sonny Pippin of Gretna; his siblings, Peggy Dalton (George) of Gretna, Brenda Irby of Gretna, Judy Bruce (Eddie) of Gretna and Donald Pippin of Danville; his grandchildren, Lauren (Toby), Dalton (Whitney), Caleb, Patrick, Dylan, Brittney (Max), Timothy, Joshua, Hannah, Jayden, Kenzi, Luke and Lincoln; and his great grandchildren, Max, Elijah, Karma, Isabella, Cloe and Chase. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sycamore Baptist Church (3172 Derby Rd, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Pippin Family Cemetery (936 Sycamore Rd, Gretna, VA 24557).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Autism Speaks, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association.
