As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though George may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Mayhew and Emogene Guthrie Mayhew; and his siblings, Larry Mayhew and Connie Mayhew. He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan Mayhew of Texas and Russell Simpson of Gretna; and his brother Michael Mayhew of Gretna. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
