He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Barksdale and Elma Edwards Barksdale. He is survived by: his brother Giles Edwards (Ethel) of Chatham, VA; and his cousins, Richard Edwards (Ernestine) of Java, VA, Clara Mease of Chatham, VA and Margie Newbill (Ike) of Gretna, VA.
