He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradley Newman Vasser and Bessie Dalton Vasser; his siblings, Clara Brumfield, Odessa Hill and George Vasser; his grandchildren, Joey Bennett and Justin Hedrick; and his great grandchild Corey Layne.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Bell Hedrick Vasser; and his children, Tony Vasser (Angie) of Gretna, Betty Vasser of Gretna, Margaret Vasser of Gretna, Peggy V. Blair (Bobby) of Gretna, Frances V. Knox (Jim) of Gretna, Katherine V. Shriver (Mike) of Gretna and Darnell V. Robertson (Jeff) of Hurt. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
