With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Dana Lanahan of Greenwood, Virginia, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on May 25, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Carrol Lanahan and Mary Danner Lanahan; and his sister Colleen Lanahan Kerr. He is survived by: his wife Kay Lanahan; his children, Ashley (Kenny Ballard), Joshua (Julie Lanahan) and Matt (Katrina Lanahan); his great grandchildren, Katherine, Joe Page, Kendall Ballard, Alex Ballard, Sophie Lanahan, Sean Lanahan, Katie Lanahan, Erin Lanahan, Colin Lanahan and Londyn Page; his brother Bruce Lanahan; his sister-in-law Becky Lanahan; his sister Leslie Jones; and his nieces and nephews, Baron, Kendra and Marissa. He is also survived by his family and was blessed with three children, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
