We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2022, at the age of 85, William Henry Schafer Jr. of Greenville, Virginia, born in Cranford, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father William H. Schafer; and his brothers, Richard and James Schafer. He is survived by: his wife Lila M. Schafer (Becker) of Greenville, VA; his daughter Elizabeth R. (Schafer); his son-in-law Daniel R. Norton of Fredericksburg, VA; his sister Barbara Getty (Schafer) of Metuchen, NJ; and his sister-in-law Darlene Stricker of Hazlet, NJ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association (NMLRA) Foundation.
