He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin and Viola Hays (Thomas); and his brother Ray F. Hays. He is survived by: his siblings, Thelma Campbell, Janet Eckard, Linda Bowles, Brenda Walters (Mike) and Roger Hays; and his close friend Maggie. He is also survived by seven nephews; four nieces; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
