He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herbert Thomas Mears, Sr. and Mary Reid Elmer Mears; his wife Shirley Beasley Mears; his sons, Herbert Thomas "Tom" Mears III of Falls Church, VA and Robert Thomas "Bobby" Mears of Parksley, VA; his grandson Jared Savage (Lindsey) of Hopeton, VA; his great grandchildren, Austin, Jace, Gunner, Gage and Gracelynn; and his granddaughter Bella. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews; countless loving extended family members and friends.
