It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Merle Johnson of Greenbackville, Virginia, born in Dover Foxcroft, Maine, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Maurice Johnson and Lois Francis Johnson; and his wife Linda Carol Johnson of Lincolnton, N. C.. He is survived by: his sister Janett J. Sims (David) of Greenville, SC; his children, Laurie A. Stanley (Mark) of Vero Beach, FL., Donald D. Johnson of Fayetteville, N. C. and Scott M. Johnson (Maureen) of Pocomoke City, MD; and his grandchildren, Devin T. Stanley, Tessa L. Stanley, Trinity B. Johnson, Olivia R. Farlow-Johnson and Joseph E. Johnson. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
