It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Hale Shenefield of Great Falls, Virginia, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, John Hale shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Hale farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Simmons Shenefield; his sons, Stephen and Christopher Shenefield; his sister Anne Dowd; and his niece Allison Kassir. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Washington National Cathedral (3101 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016).
