It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Shirer Rafferty (Great Falls, Virginia), who passed away on October 11, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raymond Shirer and Martha Shirer; her siblings, Susan Shirer Burkett of Arthur Shirer, II and Rae Shirer Gainey; and her children, Kerry Michael Rafferty, Krista Ann Rafferty Romero, James Joseph Rafferty, Jr. and Gillian Rafferty Martin. She was also cherished by 8 grandchildren.
Services are not open to the public due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The family is very grateful for your prayers and condolences, and requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in honor of Cathe to VA DAR State Scholarship program.
