It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Raymond Hopkins of Goshen, Virginia, who passed away on July 28, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hopkins and Anna Hopkins; and his siblings, William Hopkins (Bill), Margaret McGrath (Peg), Edward Hopkins (Eddie) and Kenneth Hopkins (Kenny).

He is survived by: his significant other Elaine Hopkins; his children, Susanne Hopkins of Fredericksburg, VA, Cindy White of Allendale, NJ, Brian Hopkins (Wendy) of New Rochelle, NY and Jennifer Hopkins (John) of Huntingdon Valley, PA; his grandchildren, Ryan, Deirdre, Ian, Lindsay, Kristen, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Melissa, Christopher, Julia and Jacqueline; and his brother Kenny.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org).

John was a gentleman of the highest order, one of the most honest businessman we've ever encountered and a pleasure to be around. We truly will miss seeing him and will keep him, Elaine and his family in our prayers. Jim and I send our sincerest condolences to Elaine, his children and grandchildren.”
