He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Jean Fincham; and his sisters, Ethel Rogers Jarrell and Dorothy Rogers Moubray. He is survived by: his son Walter Eugene Rogers, Jr. (Tammy Spriggs Rogers) of Gordonsville; his grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers Barnes (Antonio Barnes) of Williamsburg and Jason Rogers of Zion Crossroads; and his great grandchildren, Alexander and Adelyn Barnes of Williamsburg. He is also survived by friends ("camp family") and family, his great-grandchildren.
