We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2024, at the age of 86, Shirley B. Sparks of Gordonsville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Emory and Mary Brown Baber Wood; her former husbands, Robert Eugene Brown III and Clarence Conard Sparks; and her siblings, John Wood, Pete Wood and Mary Wood.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Hawthorne (Jim) of Orange, Lynne B. Blankenship of Orange and Annette Adams (Reed) of Fredericksburg; her stepchildren, Sue Carver of Gordonsville, Martha Mowbray (Greg) of Scottsville, Donny Sparks (Lexa) of Wisconsin, Pete Sparks (Debbie) of Orange and Jeffrey Sparks of Orange; and her brother Tilman David Wood (Shirley) of Troy. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
