He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Franklin Smith Sr. and Madie Ola Fincham Smith; and his siblings, Cynthia Lynn Lillard and Larry Eugene Smith. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Hoffman Smith; his daughter Beverly S. Martyn (Mike) of Gordonsville; his siblings, Charles W. Smith (Karen), Richard L. Smith (Wanda) and Linda Smith Ferguson (Bob) of Orange; his grandchildren, Jennifer M. Reynolds (Josef) of Palmyra and Brandon M. Martyn of Gordonsville; his great grandchildren, Destiny N. Reynolds and Skylar M. Martyn; and also, Beverly Martyn, Brandon Martyn and Debbie Hoffman.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home (301 S Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
