He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Abner Phillips and Lillian Vernie Martin Phillips; and his wife Betty Jane Phillips. He is survived by: his daughters-in-law, Kelly and Stacy; his children, Valerie Phillips Kaiser (Bruce), Robert Abner Phillips, III and Daniel Sanders Phillips (Stacy); his sisters, Martha Gentry and Jerri McLain; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Miller (Bill), Susan Stygler Johnson (Lynn), John Boozer (Carolyn) and Burdette. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
