It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Lee Downer Coiner (Gordonsville, Virginia), who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashby Rudolph Downer and Mabel Hattie Allman Downer; her husband Lynwood Leonard Coiner, Jr. (Woody); her grandson Matthew Britt Coiner; her siblings, Helen Downer Hale, Jean Downer Perkins, William Malcolm Downer and Ashby R. Downer, Jr.; and her niece Jane Allman Hale.
She is survived by: her children, Lynwood L. Coiner, III (Melinda) of Midlothian, Robert Keith Coiner (Jacqueline) and Anne Coiner Jones (Billy Brockman) of Gordonsville; her grandchildren, James Jones (Samantha Warren), David Lynwood Coiner (Jessica), Allison Reid Jones, Lauren Coiner Samuels and Lindsay Marie Coiner; her great grandchildren, Reese Alexander Coiner, Stone Anderson Coiner, Eli Warren Jones and Cora Emerson Samuels; and her sister-in-law Ann Coiner Nygaard.
