With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelson Conrad Smith Sr. (Gordonsville, Virginia), who passed away on July 2, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Burruss Smith and Mattie Gertrude Badgett. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Mae Smith; his sons, Nelson Conrad, Jr. (Pat), Ronald Burruss (Janice) and Donald Phillip; his brother Kenneth Byrd (Betty); his sisters-in-law, Marian, Lorene, Francis and Bernice; his grandchildren, Katie, Mary Elise, Zach, Chris and Mikala; and his great grandchildren, Kelee, Leah, Colton, Emmett, Trevor, Sophie, Addy and Many. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; in addition to many dear friends.
