She is survived by: her children, Joyce Herndon and Shawn McDaniel (Kiji McDaniel); her grandchildren, Roger Dale McDaniel II, Caleb Herndon, Gabriel Herndon, Ayiana Ward, Justus McDaniel, Canaan Herndon and Emmy McDaniel; her great grandchildren, Ethan and Amory McDaniel; her sisters, Alinda Jones of Canton, Catherine Shifflett of Earlysville, Judy Richards of Orange and Helen Van Orden of Gloucester; and her close friends, Oscar Martin of Louisa, Steven, Lisa and Bella Plamp of Louisa.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gordonsville Chapel (314 N Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942).
