It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Coiner Herndon of Gordonsville, Virginia, who passed away on April 20, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynwood Leonard, Sr. and Claire Meoni Coiner; her husband William Seldon Herndon; and her brother Lynwood "Woody" Coiner, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Beverly Herndon Head of Charlottesville and W. Steven Herndon (Laurie) of Orange; her grandchildren, Sarah Bunyea (Brandon) of Stanardsville, Christopher Herndon (Beth) of Orange and Patrick Herndon (Brittany) of Orange; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Will, Mason, Lily Bunyea of Stanardsville, Connor, Alex, Sam Herndon of Orange and Madison Herndon of Orange; and her sister Ann Nygaard of Culpeper.
