He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Ferguson and Ruby Eula Meadows. He is survived by: his wife Joyce W. Ferguson; his children, Donald B. Ferguson Jr. of Roanoke, Danyel Rucker (Charlie) of Roanoke, Michael Lawhorn (Patricia) of Salem and Dana Wheeler (Michael) of Bedford; his grandchildren, Dustin, Dane Ferguson, Brandi, Christen Lawhorn, Jason Fitzgerald, Charles and Charlotte Rucker; his great grandchildren, Laken Fitzgerald and Sage Ferguson; his sister Mary Beth Meek (Russell) of Arizona; his close friends, Robert and Linda Willis; his pet Luna; and also, Charlie, Crystal, Avery and Alex Adkins.
