He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Smith and Katie Mae Foster; and his siblings, Mary Cook, Martha Shanks, Simon Foster and James Foster.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Chandler Foster; and his siblings, Howard Foster and Fannie Ficklen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bedford Presbyterian Church (105 W Main St, Bedford, VA 24523).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Shepherd's Table or Bedford Presbyterian Church.
