She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Fleming Burford and Esther Abbott Burford; her siblings, Macon Burford, Kathleen Hawkins, Rucker Burford, Landon Burford, Juanita Campbell and Clyde Burford; and her granddaughter Jessica Marie Hawkins.
She is survived by: her husband John S. Hawkins, Jr; and her children, Dinah H. Watson (Mike), John E. Hawkins (Cheryl) and Esther H. Eppley (Andy). She is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
