He is survived by: his wife Linda Spain Proffitt; his children, Chrystal George, Alan Proffitt, John Michael Bowmaster (Tara), Joshua P. Proffitt (Jerrica) and Kyle Proffitt; his grandchildren, Adam, Nate, Peyton and Grady; his siblings, Russell Proffitt (Samantha), Ted and Paul Driscoll; and his pets, Apollo, Athena and Shadow.
