It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriett Lyttle Woodson of Goochland, Virginia, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Lyttle and Mariah Scott Lyttle; her grandmother Lucy Ann Hopkins Scott; her brother Roger Lyttle; her husband Henry Woodson, Sr.; and her sons, Henry, Jr., Dwayne and David.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Woodson, Patricia Anthony, Jacqueline Wright (Norman), Deborah Woodson, Jewel Wright (Michael) and Janet Senegar; her sister-in-law Helen Cox Lyttle; her daughters-in-law, Madie Coley Woodson, Paulette Trent Woodson and Shirley Davis; her niece Marian "Doll" Watson; her friends, Arlene and Shirley Smith; and also, Adele Sampson, Elnora Tilton and Lois Williams. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandsons; nieces and nephews.

Mrs, Harriett She was more than a friend , she was like a second mom to us, she welcomed us into her home, heart and family without any hesitation or doubt. Mrs Harriet (mom) was warm, inviting, and lovable, she always wanted everyone around her to feel at home and enjoy themselves, and man oh man could she cook. Thanks mom for taking the time to write out your recipe for me.💕💕”
