He was predeceased by: his son William Scott "Bubba" Bowles; his parents, John Bowles and Rebecca Ann Bray Bowles; and his brother William B "Woody" Bowles. He is survived by: his children, Christina Thurston, Cheyenne Greer, Cayla Bowles, Courtney Bowles, Haven Bowles and Dakota Bowles; his grandchildren, Rylen, Emory, Oaklyn, Remington, Axl and Berkley; and his siblings, Donna Bowles-Aleman, Kenny Daniels and Mike Bowles. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, as well as 7 great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to any Mental Health organization.
