She is survived by: her husband Roland Tankersley; her children, Wayne Tankersley (Tina), Eloise Hill (Carl), Beth Register (Jimmy) and Claude Tankersley (Darius); her grandchildren, Catherine Johns Corey Hill (Garret), Kyle Hill, Scout Register, Carson Register and Ron Rauber (Vicky); her great grandchild Charlotte Johns; and her brothers, Jimmie (Beth) and Bernard Blake (Peggy).
The family welcomes donations to the World Literacy Foundation in lieu of flowers.
