He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dobbins and Dorothy Joyner Dobbins; and his brother Edward. He is survived by: his wife Donna Burton Dobbins; his sister Edna Farrell of Gloucester; his children, Andrea Woods of Chesterfield and Brent Dobbins of Mathews; his grandchildren, Aaron Woods of Gloucester, Ashlyn Melton of Chesterfield, Jaron Dobbins of Houston, Brendan Dobbins of Blackstone and Chandler Dobbins of Gloucester; and his great grandchildren, Gregory, Theodore Melton of Chesterfield and Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Johnny was an animal lover and nature enthusiast, and so the family asked that in lieu of flowers, please donate in his name to the Peninsula SPCA or the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News.
