With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elva Lorraine Malkemus of Gloucester, Virginia, born in Maryus, Virginia, who passed away on July 9, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Hall and Mary Haywood Hall; and her siblings, Ruth Higgins, Bernice Haywood, John, Everett and Bernard Hall.

She is survived by: her husband Donald I. Malkemus; her sons, Kevin (Linda) of Charlotte, NC and Kenneth (Jackie) of Bolivia, NC; her grandchildren, Michele, Christopher (Sabrina) and Ashley; her great grandchildren, Jordan (Whitney) and Dennie; her great great grandchildren, Wyatt, Ava and Walker; and her nephews, Preston Higgins and Thom Butcher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.

In memory of Elva Lorraine, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America at PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
