He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Welch (Hand); and his brother Winthrop Anthony Welch II. He is survived by: his sister Sherry Briggs (Welch); and his nieces and nephews, Winthrop Welch III, Audrey Breen (Welch), Jenny Briggs and Benjamin Briggs.
