She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kenneth and Lolita Ambrose Jenkins. She is survived by: her husband John M. Thomas; her daughter Holly Thomas Handy (Anthony); her granddaughters, Lauren Handy and Kristin Handy Sapperstein (Paul); her great grandchildren, Monroe and Ellett Sapperstein; her sister Rita Jenkins Fletcher; her niece Paige Fletcher Bland (Jay); and her nephew Nicholas Bland.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hogg Funeral Home (3098 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Hayes, VA 23072). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Providence Baptist Church (3501 Providence Rd, Hayes, VA 23072).
