He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Brown and Bertha Oliver Brown; and his sibling Jones Brown. He is survived by: his siblings, Eunice Jenkins, Adell Jenkins, Hattie Christensen, Audrey Oliver, Mahlon Horsley, Milton Brown and Nicholas Brown; his wife Elizabeth L. Brown; his sons, Jeff and Gregg Brown; and his grandson Stetson Nye. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
