She was predeceased by: her husband James Bernard Swindeck; her parents, William Dennis and Goldie Jones Hodges; and her sister Betty Jean Hodges Stoneman. She is survived by: her son William Bernard Swindeck of Gloucester Point; her nieces, Lisa Stoneman (Chuck Akers) and Jennifer Stoneman of Roanoke, Virginia; her great-niece Hannah Updike of Richmond, Virginia; and her great-nephew Nick Updike (Renee Crider) of Roanoke.
