We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 72, John William Newton Sr. (Glen Allen, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Bootsie" A. Newton and Nelle H. Newton; his daughter Carrie Anne Newton; his brother-in-law Garland Payne; and his niece Tammy Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, John W. Newton, Jr., Wendy N. Gray (Ron) and Michael P. Newton; his grandchildren, Harley M. Hale (Tommy), Katelyn A. Gray, John W. Newton, III, Adam W. Gray and Isabella Rose; his great grandchildren, Grady T. Hale and Gentry T. Hale; his siblings, Raymond A. Newton, Jr. (Trisha), Kenny Newton (Sandy) and Laura Jo Payne; his stepchildren, Julia A. Paschall (Joe), Curtis D. Meade (Keri) and Christopher G. Mouser (Kristin); his stepgrandchildren, Emma Meade, Chase Dubois, Cody Dubois (Karina), Declan Mouser and Connor Mouser; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Leona Dubois and Cedar Dubois.
