He was predeceased by: his parents, George Daniel and Araminta Baughn Dehner. He is survived by: his children, George Dehner, Deborah Johnson and Carolina Balita; his sister Barbara Gabriel; and his wife Doris Dehner. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
