She is survived by: her children, Karen I. Carter, Candis N. Hanson, IvaRue H. Mezaache, Teresa D. Hanson, Roberta J. Apple and Robert W. Taylor. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Flowers and all contributions in her name can be made to Lighthouse of The Blind or Alzheimer's Association.

“Hello, I am the daughter of Jack Yelverton, Doris's last husband. At the time of my father's death, Doris took MANY of our precious family possessions. She didn't attend Dad's funeral. Instead she was packing up a u-Haul truck with everything she could fit in it. Now that Doris has passed, my siblings and I implore you to do the decent thing and return any item that belongs to our family, including photos. We will pay to have anything sent to my sister, Judy Hickey.”
