He was predeceased by: his daughter Faith Jones; his mother Katheren Owenby; and his siblings, Betty Maxwell, Mary Hollifield, Jess Owenby and Jay Owenby.
He is survived by: his wife Jeane Owenby; his children, Norman Suggs, Jr. (Tammy) and April James (John); and his grandchildren, Jenny Jones, Raini Hartford, Jaclyn Suggs, Andrew Suggs, Ricky Parker and Jeff Priest. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
