He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Doggett Dunn; his parents, Godwin P. Dunn, Sr. and Mabel Burress Dunn; and his brother Godwin P. Dunn, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Robin D. Gilbert (Tom) of Mechanicsville, VA and Charles L. Dunn Jr. "Chip" of Short Pump, VA; his grandchildren, Jeremy Wyatt (Dani Brown), Thomas Andrew and Kayleigh Marie Gilbert; his children, Kathryn Sydney and Austin Lee Dunn; his great grandchild Raina Brown; his brother John Dunn; his sister-in-law Rose Marie Dunn; his nieces and nephews, Richard, Michael, Cyrus Dunn, Briana Buck and Genesis of Vries; his close friend Joanne Velletr; and his pet Peanut.
