It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Lester Pillow Sr. (Gladys, Virginia), born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on May 22, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Garrett Pillow; his parents, Earl Pillow and Dorothy Davis Pillow; his daughter Tina Pillow Dowdy; and his siblings, Marshall Jennings, Earl, Wayne Pillow and Catherine J. Bell.
He is survived by: his sons, W. L. Pillow, Jr. (Cori Jo) of Hurt, Robert Ensley (Lisa) of Appomattox and Al Ensley (Tamey) of Gladys; his sister Susie P. Wright (Dennis) of Rustburg; and his close friend Betty Peters. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
