He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Hailey Ellington; his parents, Grover C. Ellington and Annie Elizabeth Almond Ellington; and his siblings, William, Burton, Lee Ellington, Christine Snyder and Antha Koleznar.
He is survived by: his sons, Dale C. Ellington (Sandy), Naruna, Randy E. Ellington (Rhonda) of Concord and Fredrick Wayne Ellington (Mary) of Gladys; and his sister Pauline Bomar of Lynchburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
