It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Little Porterfield of Gladys, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Lee Porterfield; her parents, Raymond Little and Mary Ellington Little; her son Michael Porterfield; her granddaughter Brittany Porterfield; and her brothers, George, Bill and Pete Little.
She is survived by: her son Ray Porterfield (Deborah) of Gladys; her grandchildren, Jackie Merrell (Ryan) of Arizona, Dakota Porterfield (Hailey) of Altavista, Shane Porterfield of Altavista and Samantha Porterfield of Evington; her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Grayson, Harper, Brooklyn, Colton and Wesley; and her sisters, Brenda Cook and Mary Moore.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home Chapel (221 Old Main St, Brookneal, VA 24528).
